I have been looking at a solution for viewing Youtube and internet video in my bedroom. I have a Apple Tv in the living room but since I purchased my 40gig model Apple only offers the 160gig model. Here are some pros and cons from what I saw between the two.

Pros • Both have no subscription fees • Both offer streaming videos for purchase or for rent • Both offer HD content • Both offer a web based photo viewing • Vudu seems to have better quality videos • Vudu larger library of content • Vudu interface is slick • Apple TV can get content from ITunes and me (for example you can put your own movies from DVD or personal videos on it. Stream or save to the ATV’s HD.) • Apple TV can do wonders with music from your iTunes collection. Big Plus • Apple TV can be controlled with the Iphone or used as a speaker for you computer. Big Plus • Apple TV can synch movies, pictures, podcast, purchases, and music with ITunes Apple tv has 5 and 2 gighz n and g for wireless already built in. Big Plus

Cons • Vudu does not let you put your videos and music on the box • Apple TV is lacking the video quality of the Vudu but not much • Vudu takes forever to download the highest HD videos • Apple TV interface got a overhaul with 3.0 but not enough • Vudu seems to want you to get everything from them, if you already got DVD’s and want to consolidate all your video on 1 box your screwed. • Streaming music radio sources is good but what if you want to listen to your on collection on a Vudu box? I guess they are only concern about video. • Both boxes need to lower the prices of rentals and purchases. Seriously Red Box offers rentals for $1.00 a night! Vudu box does not come with wireless this has to be purchased sep. and its g band not n.

What is up with some of the reported problems with the new 27″ Imacs? I know that every new product is going to have some bad apples but wow at some of the reports I have seen on the internet. Respond if you got a bad apple and tell us what was wrong.
